September Market Report

It has been a busy month for the team adding new listings, selling homes and amongst it all training. This last week alone Michelle and I went to the REIQ Real Estate Conference in Brisbane - these events are always a great way to keep abreast of what is happening in the industry. We have also just recently undergone a training day with Stacey Holt from Real Estate Excellence on the latest updates on legislation.

Pool Legislation
One important item that will affect all home owners with swimming pools is the new swimming pool legislation to come into effect from the 1st December 2010. If you are selling your home or even renting your home, you need to be aware of this new legislation where you will be required to have a compliance certificate for 2 years for a home or 1 year for a unit. Check out the website at www.dip.qld.gov.au or feel free to talk to us about this important matter.

The Noosa Jazz Festival is on again from the 2nd - 5th September and it is a wonderful weekend to be in Noosa to enjoy all the events and smooth sounds of jazz. If you are considering coming up for the weekend why not bring a group of friends. We have a great mid level 3 bedroom apartment at 'Seabreeze on Sunshine' in Elanda Street, Sunshine Beach which is ideal for sharing with friends and they are offering a 10% discount till the end of November 2010.

The Noosa Car Classic is also happening on Sunday 26th September -the featured marque is Alfa Romeo so if you love Alfas come along to the Lions Park at Hastings Street and help Alfa Romeo celebrate 100 years - there will be some gorgeous cars there on the day to admire! Pip's Tip Of The Month
Spring is in the air and it's the perfect time to spring clean! The sun is shining just that little bit longer so there is no excuse not to get out there and do a good spring clean! Cleaning down the exteriors of homes, trimming our trees and fertilizing our gardens - doing all this now will really set you up for a great Spring and Summer!

On a personal note, I am in training for the Queen Charlotte Track located at the top of the south island of New Zealand in the Marlborough Sounds in October so have been enjoying all the walking tracks throughout the Noosa National Park. It really is the perfect time to walk with all the beautiful wildflowers in bloom, not to mention possible sightings of whales as they head up north! It is a fabulous way to start the day!
